Saudi energy ministry directs Aramco to raise oil output to 13m bpd

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Energy directed the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) to increase its maximum sustainable capacity (MSC) to 13 million barrels per day (bpd) from 12 million bpd.

The MSC is determined by the government as per the Hydrocarbons Law, issued by Royal Decree M/37 on 20 December 2017, the company said in a bourse statement on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the Saudi oil giant revealed that it would raise its crude oil output by 300,000 million bpd to 12.3 million bpd starting from 1 April 2020.
