Riyadh – Mubasher: Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al Fadhli, Saudi Arabia's minister of environment, water and agriculture, on Monday signed eight contracts worth a combined value of SAR 158 million for water and sanitation services, in addition to consultancy agreements with a number of national companies.
The contracts included a three-year operation and maintenance contract for the ministry's IT environment at a total value of SAR 38 million, according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Moreover, Al Fadhli signed a three-year operation and maintenance deal for a water grid and purification plant in Hafar Al Batin at SAR 36 million, added to an SAR 35 million deal for the Mastoorah water grid.
Al Fadhli also announcing signing a contract for the tube-replacement project in Al Hofuf and Al Mubarraz, totalling SAR 21 million.
Another contract was signed for water grid operation and maintenance in Al Qatif at SAR 13 million, SPA reported, noting that a distilled water pipeline project was signed for Al Khobar at SAR 10 million.
As for consultancy services, an SAR 2 million consultancy agreement was signed for the International Council for Dates, and another for rain agriculture in the southwest of the Kingdom, worth SAR 1 million.
