Saudi exports down 10% in 2019

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi exports declined last year by 10.4% or SAR 122.51 billion, on the back of lower oil exports, as shown by the data of the General Authority for Statistics (GaStat).

Exports reached SAR 1.05 trillion, compared with SAR 1.177 trillion in 2018, as oil exports decreased by 14%.

On the other hand, Saudi imports decreased by 1.5% or SAR 11.78 billion last year to SAR 774.68 billion, compared with SAR 786.45 billion for the same time a year ago.

Imported services went down by 11%, while imported goods contracted by 3.5% on an annual basis, according to GaStat.

The kingdom’s international trade amounted to SAR 1.83 trillion last year, compared with SAR 1.96 trillion in the year before, falling by 7.3%.
