Saudi exports hit SAR 77bn in October 2017 – GASTAT

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi merchandise exports jumped 14.1% or SAR 9.47 billion during October 2017, compared to the same month in the year before, the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) said on Wednesday.

The Kingdom’s merchandise exports increased to SAR 76.81 billion in October 2017, from SAR 67.33 billion in October 2016, the GASTAT added.

The merchandise exports consist of oil exports and non-oil exports.

Saudi oil exports increased by 14.4% or SAR 7.41 billion, reaching SAR 58.92 billion during October 2017, compared to SAR 51.51 billion in October 2016.

While Saudi non-oil exports surged 13.1% or SAR 2.07 billion to SAR 17.89 billion during October 2017, from SAR 15.82 billion in the same month in the year earlier.

Month-on-month, the Saudi body’s data revealed that the value of exports levelled up 19.3% or SAR 12.44 billion during October 2017.

The Kingdom’s oil exports grew 15.3% or SAR 7.8 billion in October compared to September.

On a monthly basis, the Kingdom’s non-oil exports jumped 35% or SAR 4.64 billion in October 2017.
