Saudi exports rise to SAR 79.75bn in November – GASTAT

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi merchandise exports jumped 29.7% or SAR 18.28 billion year-on-year during November 2017, a report revealed by General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) on Sunday said.

Consisting of oil and non-oil exports, the Kingdom’s merchandise exports amounted to SAR 79.75 billion in November 2017, up from SAR 61.47 billion in the same period a year earlier, the GASTAT’s report added.

The value of Saudi oil exports surged 33.5% or SAR 15.51 billion to SAR 61.73 billion during November 2017, from SAR 46.22 billion in the same month the year before.

Saudi non-oil exports increased 18.2% or SAR 2.78 billion to SAR 18.02 billion in November 2017, compared to SAR 15.25 million in the prior-year period.

Month-on-month, the nation's merchandise exports increased 3.8% or SAR 2.94 billion during November, compared to the previous month.

The Kingdom’s oil exports grew 4.8% or SAR 2.81 billion in November versus the month before.

On a monthly basis, the kingdom’s non-oil exports inched up 0.8% or SAR 136 billion in November, compared to a month earlier.
