Riyadh – Mubasher: State oil giant Saudi Aramco said that Saudi companies have signed eight agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with French counterparts at a combined value of $12 billion.
The first deal was between French water and waste group Veolia and Saudi-based Dussur to implement project for industrial wastewater treatment (IWWT) champion, the Middle Eastern oil giant said in a statement.
Dussur is a joint venture between Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), Saudi Aramco, and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic).
The state-owned crude producer unveiled signing a corporate buying agreement with TechnipFMC to provide wellhead and surface control equipment.
While the third contract was inked with France-based Schneider Electric to manage the installed base of process automation system (PAS) and remote terminal units (RTU), Aramco highlighted.
The kingdom-based Dussur and France-based environmental services provider Suez have signed MoU for carrying out industrial wastewater treatment (IWWT) champion.
A further agreement was signed by Arab World Institute (Institut Du Monde Arabe) and King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) to boost Ithra’s content through exchanging experiences and the cutting-edge initiatives in the form of travelling exhibits.
Oil major Total inked a MoU with Aramco to evaluate the feasibility of acquiring a retail service station network in the GCC nation.
Centre Pompidou and Ithra signed a contract to exchange expertise and offer the state-of-the-art initiatives via travelling exhibits, collaborating or co-curating on exhibits, museum development, performances, culture exchange programmes, staff training, and workshops development, according to the statement.
“We are further expanding our relationship with agreements and MOUs with leading French companies and organizations to support Saudi Aramco’s long business growth strategy,” Aramco’s CEO Amin Nasser said after signing the deals.
The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the Saudi-France CEO Forum held in Paris to promote bilateral business and cooperation between the two countries.
The Forum was scheduled to coincide with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to France.
