Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi general reserve contracted by 14.8% year-on-year (YoY) in August of the year, equivalent to SAR 73.53 billion.
The reserve reached SAR 422.489 billion by August-end, compared to SAR 496.020 billion in the corresponding month in 2019, data from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) showed.
Monthly, the Gulf country’s general reserve stabilised at SAR 422.489 billion.
The government’s current account registered SAR 98.516 billion in August, a yearly surge of 10%.
On a monthly basis, the current account leaped by 69.7% when compared to its level in July at SAR 58.052 billion.
