Saudi general reserves fall to SAR 483.39bn in March – SAMA

Riyadh – Mubasher: The value governmental general reserves slid 15.4% year-on-year during March to SAR 483.39 billion, from SAR 571.46 billion, the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority’s (SAMA) monthly report issued on Monday showed.

On a monthly basis, the value of general reserves remained unchanged, SAMA’s report added.

As for the current account, its value soared 194.5%, reaching SAR 99.85 billion in March 2019, compared to SAR 33.9 billion in March 2018.

Month-on-month, Saudi government current account skyrocketed 107%, from SAR 48.31 billion during February.

Funds and governmental authorities' deposits at SAMA amounted to SAR 119.94 billion during March 2019, up from SAR 89.82 billion in the corresponding month a year earlier.
