Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s transport ministry has signed an agreement with American transportation technology company Virgin Hyperloop One (VHO) for cooperation in the development of hyperloop technology.
Under the agreement, VHO will conduct a preliminary study on the use of hyperloop technology for the transport of passengers and cargo in Saudi Arabia, according to a statement released on Thursday.
The project helps realise the transport ministry’s goals for the planning of modern transport systems and integration of modern technologies to facilitate transport systems, Saudi transport minister Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser commented.
The minister noted that the agreement with VHO comes in line with the vision of Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman for the transportation sector as a pillar in the future of the kingdom’s economy.
