Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's imports decreased by 14% (SAR 7.92 billion) year-on-year in November to SAR47.21 billion from SAR 55.13 billion.
The total weight of imports amounted to 5.003 million tonnes in November, falling 24.47% (1.6 million tonnes), compared with 6.624 million tonnes a year earlier.
Equipment and machinery accounted for 28% of total imports, followed by transportation equipment with 21%.
Imports from the kingdom’s five top countries declined by 8%, led by China with 19%, and then the US with 6%. Imports from South Korea and Japan dropped by 8% and 1%, respectively. Meanwhile, the kingdom’s imports from Germany rose 2%.
