Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s imports reached SAR 155.5 billion during the third quarter of 2015, falling 8% (SAR 13.5 billion), compared with SAR 168.9 billion in the same period of 2014.
The imports also fell 6.5% compared with the second quarter of 2015, the lowest in the last six quarters.
Total weight of imports amounted to 20.7 million tonnes, down 10% (2.3 million tonnes), compared with 23 million tonnes in Q3-14, according to Mubasher statistics.
Equipment and machinery accounted for 27% of total imports, followed by transportation equipment with 18%.
