Saudi indices close Monday on mixed note

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Monday in the green after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 5.8 points, or 0.07% to hit 8,335.39 points, registering its highest level in 40 days, or since 23 April.

TASI’s traded volume stood at 175 million shares on Monday, against 181.6 million shares on Sunday, while trading value tumbled to SAR 4.49 billion, from SAR 4.89 billion.

The transportation sector increased 0.99%, followed by pharmaceuticals with 0.97%, telecommunication services with 0.88%, and materials with 0.01%.

On the flipside, the media, energy, and banks sectors decreased 1.46%, 0.98%, and 0.2%, respectively.

Buruj Cooperative Insurance Co’s stock led risers with 7.88% to close Monday at SAR 31.5, whereas AXA Cooperative Insurance’s stock was the worst performer with 4.2%, reaching SAR 22.8.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, levelled down 1.15 points or 0.04%, reaching 3,093.1 points.

Nomu’s trading value rose to SAR 4.9 million on Monday, from SAR 481,000 on Sunday.
