Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Wednesday's trading session in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 134.3 points, or 1.68%, to 7,878.29 points.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 187.43 million shares on Wednesday, against 191.45 million shares on Tuesday, while liquidity declined to SAR 3.9 billion ($1.04 billion), from SAR 4.4 billion ($1.17 billion).
The telecommunication services sector retreated 3.2%, followed by the banking and materials segments with 2.4%, and 0.93%, respectively.
On the flipside, the media sector rose 1.03%, while the commercial and professional services segment inched up 0.29%.
Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance Company’s (Enaya) stock declined 9.93% to SAR 11.06, whereas Takween Advanced Industries’ stock rose 6.65%, closing at SAR 9.95.
In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Index, NOMU, dropped 2.7% or 84.25 points to 3,036.54 points, registering its sharpest losses since 9 January.
Arab Sea Information System’s stock led losers with 6.98%, finishing at SAR 12, whereas the stock of Al-Kathiri Holding Company rose 6.98% to SAR 32.50.
