Saudi indices close Wednesday in decline

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday in red territory after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) decreased 5.6 points, or 0.07%, to 8,039.05 points.

TASI’s trading volume reached 137.5 million shares on Wednesday, up from 129.6 million on Tuesday, while turnover rose to SAR 3.05 billion, from SAR 3.2 billion.

The real estate management and development sector fell 1.57%, while the materials sector shed 0.2%.

On the other hand, the media, telecommunication services, and banking sectors increased 2.56%, 1.9%, and 0.07%, respectively.

Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance’s stock was the worst performer with 5.5%, whereas Takween Advanced Industries’ stock topped risers with 6.6%.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, retreated 31.9 points, or 1.04%, to 3,042.2 points.

Raydan Co’s stock rose 2.6%, whereas the stock of Abo Moati for Bookstores levelled down 11.76%.
