Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) extended its gains for the second straight session after inching up 0.11%, or 9.61 points, to close at 9,047.58 points on Tuesday.
TASI’s liquidity retreated to SAR 3 billion on Tuesday, compared to SAR 3.02 billion in the previous session, while the market’s traded volume declined to 112.13 million shares from 117.54 million on Monday.
The insurance sector led risers after adding 1.82%, while the banking and telecommunications sectors edged up 0.07% and 0.06%, respectively.
On the other hand, the media sector headed decliners with 1.35%, whereas the basic materials sector fell 0.07%.
Walaa Cooperative Insurance’s stock topped gainers and jumped 9.92%, while Saudi Cable’s stock led fallers after sliding 2.94%.
Al Rajhi Bank’s stock led TASI in terms turnover of SAR 335.11 million, while Alinma Bank’s stock registered the highest trading volume with 7.11 million shares.
In the meantime, the joint index between Tadawul and MSCI, MT30 index, increased 1.67 points, or 0.12%, to finish the mid-week session at 1,348.8 points.
Similarly, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, edged up 6.24 points, or 0.17%, to close at 3,584.27 points.
Meanwhile, the Nomu Capped Index (NomuC) grew 10.91 points, or 0.31%, to finish at 3,570.32 points.
