Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday’s trading session on a positive note after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose by 30.93 points, or 0.35%, to close at 8,852.69 points.
TASI’s turnover reached SAR 2.48 billion on Monday from SAR 2.51 billion on Sunday, while the market’s traded volume stood at 102.87 million shares, compared to 109.29 million in the previous session.
The consumer services sector topped gainers after adding 2.1%, followed by the real estate sector which grew by 1.1%.
In addition, the banking and basic materials sectors went up 0.5% and 0.05%, respectively.
On the other hand, the software and services sector headed decliners and slid by 0.96%, followed by the utilities sector which fell by 0.8%.
Saudi Re for Cooperative Reinsurance Co’s stock led risers and surged by 5.2%, whereas SEDCO Capital REIT’s stock headed fallers with 2.4%.
Al Rajhi Bank’s stock spearheaded TASI in terms of turnover with SAR 258.23 million, while Saudi Re for Cooperative Reinsurance Co’s stock registered the highest trading volume of 6.41 million shares.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, grew by 15.78 points, or 0.43%, to close at 3,718.01 points.
Al-Omran Industrial Trading Co’s stock was Nomu’s best performer after surging by 10.99%, whereas Abdullah Saad Mohammed Abo Moati for Bookstores Co’s stock was Nomu’s worst performer with 3.4%.
