Saudi indices end Monday mixed

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday’s trading session up after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) jumped 47.68 points, or 0.59%, to 8,070.69 points.

TASI’s traded volume stood at 237.4 million shares on Monday, up from 182 million on Sunday, while trading value surged to SAR 5.6 billion, from SAR 3.8 billion.

The media, banking, materials, and telecommunication services sectors led risers, while the real estate investment traded funds (REITs) was the worst sector.

National Gypsum Company's stock was TASI's best performer after rising 9.08% to close at SAR 14.9, while Nama Chemicals’ stock jumped 8.77% to SAR 24.8.

On the flipside, the stocks of Electrical Industries Co. (EIC) and United Electronics Co. (eXtra) decreased 5.1% and 4.17% to SAR 22.7 and SAR 70.6, respectively.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock topped TASI in terms of traded volume after 36.8 million shares were exchanged, while Al Rajhi Bank’s stock led in terms of trading value after generating SAR 1.2 billion in a turnover.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, fell 3.5 points, or 0.11%, to finish at 3,105.6 points.
