Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Monday’s trading session in green territory after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) jumped 33.93 points, or 0.44%, to 7,764.51 points.
TASI’s liquidity fell to SAR 2.59 billion, from SAR 2.88 billion on Sunday, while trading volume stood at 110.4 million shares, down from 115.7 million.
The media sector went up 1.6%, while the telecommunication services sector inched up 1.3%.
The food and staples retailing sector added 1.2%, while the banking sector grew 0.6%.
On the flipside, the materials sector edged down 0.02%.
The Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock topped gainers with 6.3%, while Amana Cooperative Insurance’s stock led losers with 9.9%.
Alinma Bank stock led TASI in terms of trading value after generating SAR 282.22 million, while the stock of Mobile Telecommunications Company Saudi Arabia (Zain) posted the highest traded volume with 14.99 million shares.
In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, NOMU, gained 9.58 points, or 0.4%, to 2,376.49 points.
Nomu’s trading volume hit 31,950 shares on Monday, down from 48,770 in the previous session, while liquidity slumped to SAR 623,970, against SAR 1.09 million.
Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock was Nomu’s most active after 27,700 shares were exchanged at a turnover SAR 551,790.
