Saudi indices end Sunday in decline

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Sunday with a negative performance after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) slumped 94.75 points, or 1.25%, to 7,512.57 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 101.84 million shares, down from 124.58 million shares on Thursday, while liquidity fell to SAR 2.24 billion ($596.8 million), from SAR 2.73 billion ($729.3 million).

The media, energy, materials, banking, and telecommunication services sectors declined 4.2%, 1.96%, 1.86%, 1.21%, and 1.19%, respectively.

On the other hand, the insurance and transportation sectors rose 0.3%, and 0.11%, respectively.

The Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock led losers with 9.96%, whereas Al Baha Investment and Development’s stock topped gainers with 4.96%.

Alinma Bank’s stock, which dropped 0.77%, led the amin market in terms of volume and value after 16.76 million shares were exchanged, generating a turnover of SAR 346.8 million.

Meanwhile, Nomu, the main index of the Nomu secondary market retreated 34.61 points, or 1.42%, to close the first session of the week at 2,406.86 points.

Abdullah Saad Mohamed Abo Moati for Bookstores Company and Thob Al-Aseel Company stocks’ went down 2.9%, and 2.17%, respectively.
