Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday's trading session on a mixed note, after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) jumped 25.76 points, or 0.31%, to 8,339.86 points, while the parallel market index edged down.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 152.4 million shares on Sunday, against 154.4 million on Thursday, while trading value decreased to SAR 3.49 billion, from SAR 3.62 billion.
The real estate investment traded funds (REITs) sector grew 1.9%, followed by the energy, banking, telecommunication services and materials sectors with 1.2%, 0.48%, 0.37%, and 0.26%, respectively.
On the flipside, the pharmaceuticals sector inched down 0.94%, while consumer durables and apparel edged down 0.89%.
The REITs sector was the best performance as AlJazira Mawten REIT Fund, Taleem REIT Fund, and AL Maather REIT Fund stocks’ went up 9.9%, 9.3%, and 4.4%, respectively.
Amana Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock was TASI's worst performance after falling 6.1% to SAR 18.12, while Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair’s stock declined 5.8%, reaching SAR 24.4.
Al Inma Bank’s stock was the most active after 33.2 million shares were exchanged, generating a turnover of SAR 714.4 million.
In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, retreated 43.5 points, or 1.44 points, to finish the first session of this week at 2,972.5 points.
