Saudi indices end Sunday mixed

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday's trading session on a mixed note, after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) jumped 44.92 points, or 0.55%, to 8,222.53 points, while the parallel market inched down.

TASI’s traded volume stood at 105 million shares on Sunday, against 133.4 million on Thursday, while the market's liquidity tumbled to SAR 2.74 billion ($729.87 million), from SAR 3.28 billion ($874.13 billion).

The retailing, banking, and materials sectors added 1.32%, 0.92%, and 0.8%, respectively.

On the flipside, the telecommunication services sector fell 2.28%, while the capital goods sector shed 0.93%.

United Cooperative Assurance Co’s stock was the best performer after growing 6.45%, whereas the stock of Al Sorayai Trade and Industrial Group decreased 4.92%.

Alinma Bank’s stock was the most active in terms of trading volume after 22 million were exchanged, while the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) stock led in terms of liquidity after generating a turnover of SAR 523.7 million.

SABIC and Alinma Bank stocks’ remained unchanged by the end of Sunday’s activities.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, retreated slid 82.15 points, or 2.77%, to close at 2,878.29 points.

At the level Nomu stocks, Raydan Co tumbled 8.06%.
