Saudi indices end Sunday on positive note

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday in the green after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 60.45 points, or 0.78%, to 7,809.77 points.

TASI’s liquidity slumped to SAR 1.45 billion ($387.2 million), from SAR 2.5 billion ($668.8 million) on Thursday, while traded volume reached 64.42 million shares, down from 97.4 million in the previous session.

The diversified financials sector led gainers after adding 1.8%, followed by the banking sector with 0.93%, while materials and telecommunication services grew 0.89% and 0.46%, respectively.

Red Sea International Co.’s stock was the best performer, surging 8.05%, whereas Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance Company’s (Enaya) stock led losers with 4.81%.

The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) stock, up 1.2%, topped TASI in terms of liquidity after generating SAR 136.4 million, while Alinma Bank’s stock, up 0.35%, led in terms of trading volume with 5.6 million exchanged shares.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, went up 15.11 points, or 0.62%, reaching 2,456.76 points.

Al Kathiri Holding Company’s stock topped Nomu’s gainers after jumping 19.51%, whereas the stock of Baazeem Trading Co was the worst performer with 1.69%.
