Saudi indices end Thursday in decline

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Thursday with a negative performance after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 49.17 points, or 0.63%, reaching 7,743.39 points, registering its second drop in row.

TASI’s traded volume fell to 123.11 million shares, from 133.1 million on Wednesday, while trading value stood at SAR 2.62 billion ($699.73 million), down from SAR 3.3 billion ($880.27 million) in the previous session.

The capital goods, utilities, banks, telecommunication services, and materials sectors levelled down 1.82%, 1.62%, 0.85%, 0.66%, and 0.45%, respectively.

On the other hand, the consumer services sector inched up 0.78%, while the real estate management and development sector went up 0.3%.

The Saudi Cable Company’s stock was the worst performer with 5.71%, whereas Saudi Fisheries Company’s (Alasmak) stock was the best performer after gaining 10%.

Alinma Bank’s stock, down 0.65%, topped in all terms after 15.3 million shares were exchanged, generating SAR 328.23 million liquidity.

In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu secondary market, NOMU, decreased 2.09 points, or 0.08%, to 2,481.14 points.

Raydan Co’s stock edged down 0.63%.
