Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday's trading session on a positive note, after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 11.83 points, or 0.14%, to 8,247.39 points.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 107.26 million shares on Wednesday, down from 121.27 million on Tuesday, while the market's liquidity fell to SAR 2.8 billion ($747.73 million), from SAR 3.2 billion ($860.8 million).
The commercial and professional services sector grew 3.65%, followed by the materials and banking sectors with 0.48%, and 0.04%, respectively.
On the flipside, the food and beverages sector declined 1.65%, while the telecommunication services sector decreased by 1.2%.
Amana Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock was the best performer after increasing 9.06% to close at SAR 20.94, whereas Saudi Real Estate’s (Al Akaria) stock was the worst performer falling 3.94% to SAR 14.64.
Alinma Bank’s stock, which shed 0.28%, was the most active in terms of traded volume after 26.3 million shares were exchanged, generating a turnover of SAR 557.8 million.
In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, rose 10.26 points, or 0.35%, to finish at 2,965.43 points.
Baazeem Trading’s stock gained 3.51%, whereas the stock of Raydan Co edged down 0.14%.
