Saudi indices end Wednesday in green

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday with a positive performance after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 59 points, or 0.78%, to 7,632.5 points.

TASI’s liquidity jumped to SAR 3.69 billion ($984.8 million) on Wednesday, from SAR 2.48 billion ($661.87 million) in the previous session, recording its highest liquidity in November, while traded volume hit 151.37 million shares, up from 104.96 million.

The consumer durables and apparel sector added 1.96%, followed by the telecommunication services sector with 1.72%.

Similarly, the materials and banking sectors grew 1.23% and 0.46%, respectively.

On the flipside, the pharmaceuticals sector decreased 1.01%, while the commercial and professional services sector inched down 0.44%.

Takween Advanced Industries’ stock led gainers with 8.92%, whereas Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Khodari Sons Company’s stock was the worst performer after falling 4.63%.

The Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock, which added 2.09%, topped the main market in terms of liquidity with SAR 613.87 million, while Alinma Bank’s stock generated the highest trading volume after 23.88 million shares were exchanged.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, grew 37.77 points, or 1.6%, to finish at 2,392.91 points.

Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock went up 8.03%.
