Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday’s trading session in green territory, encouraged by the growth of blue-chip stocks.
The benchmark Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) rose by 19.21 points, or 0.22%, to close the session at 8,853.47 points.
TASI’s turnover reached SAR 1.99 billion on Wednesday, compared to SAR 2.64 billion on Tuesday.
By the end of the session, the software and services sector topped the risers and added 0.97%, followed by the retail sector with 0.5%.
Similarly, the banking sector increased by 0.45%, while the telecommunication and materials sectors levelled up 0.4% and 0.06%, respectively.
On the other hand, the media sector headed the losers after falling 1.1%, followed by the utilities sector with 0.6%.
Gulf General’s stock spearheaded the bourse’s gainers and added 7.7%, while Yunab National Petrochemical’s stock led the decliners with 2.7%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, advanced by 1.1%, or 41.66 points, to 3,766.23 points.
Al Omran Industrial Trading Company’s stock was Nomu’s best performer after rising by 8.85%, followed by the stock of Arab Sea Information System Company with 5.2%.
