Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday's trading session with a negative performance for the third consecutive session, after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) decreased 5.99 points, or 0.07%, to 8,399.83 points, registering its lowest level in nine sessions.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 105.28 million shares on Wednesday, down from 125.76 million shares on Tuesday, while liquidity fell to SAR 2.73 billion, from SAR 3.09 billion.
The telecommunication services sector decreased by 2.2%, while the capital goods sector fell 1.8%.
On the other hand, the media, energy, materials, and banking sectors levelled up 2.8%, 0.85%, 0.3%, and 0.2%, respectively.
Bonyan REIT Fund’s stock led losers with 10%, while Saudi Research and Marketing Group’s stock was the best performer with 3.1%.
Alinma Bank’s stock topped in terms of traded volume after 20.7 million shares were exchanged, generating a turnover of SAR 462.77 million.
In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, increased 3.7 points, or 0.1%, to finish at 2,771.68 points.
The secondary market’s trading volume rose to 104,370 shares on Wednesday, from 71,100 shares on Tuesday, while its turnover grew to SAR 2.1 million, from SAR 1.28 million.
Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock led gainers with 5.7%, whereas the stock of Raydan Co inched down 0.6%.
Baazeem Trading’s stock was the most active in Nomu’s activities after 60,100 shares were exchanged, with a liquidity of SAR 1.44 million.
