Saudi indices end Wednesday in red

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) ended Wednesday’s trading session with negative performance, for the fifth session in a row, pressured by the fall of leading sectors.

The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) inched down by 0.12%, or 10.32 points, ending the session at 8,785.74 points.

TASI’s turnover increased to SAR 2.56 billion on Wednesday, from SAR 2.47 billion on Tuesday, while trading volume went up to 89.68 million shares, compared to 87.87 million shares in the previous session.

The software and services sector topped the decliners falling 1.9%, followed by the insurance and healthcare sectors with 1.5% and 1.05%, respectively.

On the other hand, the utilities sector headed the gainers adding 1.95%, while the commercial services sector grew 0.9%.

Meanwhile, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, went down 0.14%, or 5.38 points, reaching 3,809.76 points.
