Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed Wednesday down after slumping 42.26 points, or 0.53%, to 7,900.28 points.
TASI’s traded volume hit 175.7 million by the end of Wednesday, against 181.17 million on Tuesday, while liquidity tumbled to SAR 4.3 billion ($1.15 billion), from SAR 4.4 billion ($1.17 billion).
The commercial and professional services levelled down 2.58%, while retailing and telecommunication services segments fell 2.15% and 1.64%, respectively.
Likewise, the banking sector dropped 1.26%, whereas the materials segment inched down 0.09%.
On the other hand, the food and beverages sector rose 1.21%, while the utilities sector gained 1.03%.
Alandalus Property Company’s stock was the bourse’s worst performer with 7.73% to close Wednesday at SAR 22.56, whereas Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock grew 3.11% to SAR 25.20.
In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, increased 17.43 points, or 0.59%, to 2,994.29 points.
Raydan Co’s stock topped Nomu’s risers with 6.84% to SAR 15, whereas the stock of Baazeem Trading inched down 0.08% to finish at SAR 24.
