Saudi indices end Wednesday on negative note

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Wednesday's trading activities in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) tumbled 8.76 points, or 0.11%, to 7,789.63 points.

TASI’s liquidity rose to SAR 1.68 billion ($447.2 million), from SAR 1.63 billion ($434.13 million) on Tuesday, while trading volume reached 65.7 million shares, compared to 62.4 million.

The energy and materials sectors levelled down 1.2%, and 0.46%, respectively.

On the other hand, the telecommunication services sector rose 1.16%, while the healthcare sector increased 0.31%.

Al Ahlia Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock led losers with 3.04%, while Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance Company’s (Enaya) stock topped gainers with 4.81%.

Alinma Bank’s stock, down 0.43%, was the most active in terms of volume and value after 11.2 million shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 258.3 million.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, NOMU, plunged 50.55 points, or 2.01%, reaching 2,567.5 points.

Arab Sea Information System Co’s stock was the best performer with 4.68%, while the stock of Raydan Co was the worst performer after dropping 2.57%.
