Saudi indices finish Wednesday in red

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday in decline after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) tumbled 19.78 points, or 0.25%, to 7,792.56 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 132.35 million shares, up from 127 million shares on Tuesday, while the main market’s traded value rose to SAR 3.3 billion ($880.27 million), from SAR 2.54 billion ($678.13 million).

The food and beverages sector declined 3.94%, followed by the media, telecommunication services, materials and banking sectors with 1.78%, 0.55%, 0.18%, and 0.15%, respectively.

On the other hand, the commercial and professional services increased 1.94%, while the real estate management and development sector inched up 0.88%.

Savola Group’s stock led losers with 9.9%, while the stock of Amana Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock was the best performer after jumping 9.96%.

The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) stock, down 0.8%, led in terms of trading value after generating SAR 540 million, wheres Alinma Bank’s stock, up 0.47%, led in terms of traded volume after 15.4 million shares were exchanged.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, went down 36.94 points, or 1.47%, to finish at 2,843.23 points.

The stocks of Al Kathiri Holding Co. and Thob Al-Aseel Company declined 2.62%, and 2.5%, respectively.
