Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Monday in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 12.58 points, or 0.15%, to 8,230.13 points, registering its fifth drop in a row.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 145.75 million shares, up from 131 million shares on Sunday, while traded value increased to SAR 4.26 billion ($1.14 billion), from SAR 3.77 billion ($1.004 billion).
The utilities sector fell 1.28%, while insurance tumbled 1.08%, and banks, telecommunication services, and the materials sectors decreased 0.2%, 0.12%, and 0.08%, respectively.
On the other hand, the media sector rose 1.77%, while retailing added 0.88%.
Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance’s stock retreated 7.72%, whereas Alujain Corporation’s stock led gainers after jumping 9.95%.
Alinma Bank’s stock, down 0.96%, topped TASI in terms of trading volume after 53.3 million shares were exchanged, generating SAR 1.2 billion.
In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, levelled down 19.69 points, or 0.69%, reaching 2,817.58 points.
Baazeem Trading’s stock fell 5.22%.
