Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started the first session of 2019 with a negative performance after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 19.28 points, or 0.25%, to 7,807.45 points.
By 10:45 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 9.42 million shares exchanged through 12,780 transactions at a turnover of SAR 249.67 million.
The food and beverages sector led losers with 0.37%, followed by the diversified financials sector with 0.36%.
The insurance, banking, materials, and telecommunication services sectors shed 0.34%, 0.33%, 0.21%, and 0.04%, respectively.
Saudi Industrial Investment Group’s (SIIG) stock was the worst performer with 3.1%, while Al Ahlia Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock topped gainers with 5.7%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu secondary market, went down 9.57 points, or 0.38%, to 2,511.16 points.
Al-Kathiri Holding Company and Raydan Co stocks’ decreased 2.8%, and 0.4%, respectively, while the stock of Arab Sea Information System increased by 0.4%.
