Saudi indices open Monday in decline

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) started Monday in the red after dropping 12.98 points, or 0.16%, to 7,959.07 points.

By 10:42 am Saudi time, TASI’s turnover amounted to SAR 267.5 million after 15.63 million shares changed hands through 10,760 transactions.

The food and staples retailing sector fell 1.1%, followed by the food and beverages and materials sectors with 1%, and 0.2%, respectively. 

On the other hand, the pharmaceuticals, consumer durables and apparel, banking, and telecommunication services sectors rose 0.3%, 0.25%, 0.8%, and 0.02%, respectively.

Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance Company’s (Enaya) stock declined 10%, whereas Alinma Tokio Marine Co’s stock increased 4.3%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, tumbled 40.74 points, or 1.3%, to 3,065.69 points.

Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock dropped 2.6%, whereas the stocks of Arab Sea Information System and Al-Omran Industrial Trading levelled up 3.5% and 1.8%, respectively.
