Saudi indices open Monday in decline

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Monday’s trading activities with a negative performance after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 16 points, or 0.19%, to 8,275.9 points.

By 10:35 am Saudi time, TASI’s traded volume hit 22.6 million shares exchanged through 18,700 transactions at a turnover of SAR 475.27 million.

The food and beverages sector led losers with 0.66%, followed by the materials and telecommunication services sectors with 0.62% and 0.23%, respectively.

On the other hand, the pharmaceuticals sector increased by 1.7%, while the banking sector inched up 0.1%.

Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance Company’s (Enaya) stock led decliners with 2.93%, while Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance’s stock topped risers with 3.16%.

Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, levelled down 16.13 points, or 0.62%, to 2,582.93 points.

Raydan Co’s stock went down 4.37%.
