Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Sunday in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 26.32 points, or 0.3%, reaching 7,971.29 points.
By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 25.17 million shares, through 17,900 transactions, generating SAR 551 million in turnover.
The food and beverages sector fell 1.56%, followed by insurance with 1.06%, telecommunication services with 0.73%, materials with 0.6%, and banks with 0.04%.
On the other hand, the energy sector rose 0.53%, while capital goods increased 0.36%.
Alujain Corporation’s stock was the biggest loser on Tadawul, sliding 4.8%, whereas the Saudi Cable Company’s stock was the top gainer, adding 4.4%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, plunged 119.71 points, or 4.6%, to 2,489.6 points, weighed by Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock, which tumbled 7.75%.
