Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Thursday’s trading session in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 46.7 points, or 0.6%, to 7,813.65 points.
By 10:35 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 16 million shares exchanged through 17,580 exchanged transactions at a turnover of of SAR 419.17 million.
The utilities sector was the worst performer after losing 1.15%, followed by the healthcare equipment and services sector with 0.85%.
The materials, telecommunication services, and banking sectors inched down 0.79%, 0.75%, and 0.46%, respectively.
On the other hand, the commercial and professional services sector increased by 0.06%, while the diversified financials sector levelled up 0.05%.
Saudi Company for Hardware’s (SACO) stock was the worst performer after dropping 4.03%, while the stock of Saudi Fisheries Company (Alasmak) was the best performer after gaining 5.56%.
Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, edged down 0.01%, or 0.33 points, to 2,480.99 points.
Abdullah Saad Mohamed Abo Moati for Bookstores Company’s stock went down 0.18%.
