Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Thursday’s trading session in green territory after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) jumped 73.62 points, or 0.95%, to 7,784.55 points.
By 10:35 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 21.65 million shares exchanged through 17,900 transactions with a turnover of SAR 567 million.
The energy sector led gainers with 1.78%, followed by the food and staples retailing sector with 1.78%.
The pharmaceuticals, materials, banking, and telecommunication services sector sectors added 1.4%, 1.3%, 0.9%, and 0.65%, respectively.
The Saudi Cable Company’s stock topped risers with 5.9%, while the stock of Saudi Advanced Industries Co. (SAIC) led losers with 0.5%.
Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, increased 11.44 points, or 0.48%, to 2,411.76 points.
The stocks of Al Omran Industrial and Trading Company and Abdullah Saad Mohamed Abo Moati for Bookstores Company went up 1% and 0.5%, respectively.
