Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Tuesday in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 0.12% or 10.34 points, to 8,325.01 points.
By 10:43 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume hit 54.82 million shares changed hands through 31,080 transactions, with a turnover of SAR 1.08 billion.
The healthcare, energy, retailing, and materials sectors dropped 0.9%, 0.6%, 0.5%, and 0.5%, respectively.
On the other hand, the media sector rose 9%, followed by the pharmaceuticals segment with 1.4%.
While the utilities, banking and telecommunication services sectors added 1.1%, 0.15%, and 0.09%, respectively.
Arabian Cement’s stock decreased 7%, whereas the Saudi Research and Marketing Group’s stock jumped 9.96%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, shed 0.3% or 0.86% to 3,179.17 points.
Raydan Co’s stock fell 2.9%, followed by the stock of Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries with 2.1%, whereas Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock levelled up 17.2%.
