Saudi indices open Wednesday in decline

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Wednesday’s trading session in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 27.90 points, or 0.36%, to 7,770.49 points.

By 10:45 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume hit 10.81 million shares exchanged through 14,080 transactions at a turnover of SAR 274.06 million.

The energy, materials, transportation, and banking sectors levelled down 0.7%, 0.55%, 0.44%, and 0.4%, respectively.

On the other hand, the retailing sector inched up 0.29%, while the real estate investment traded funds (REITs) sector rose 0.26%.

Saudi International Petrochemical Company’s (Sipchem) stock led losers with 2.4%, while Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance Company’s (Enaya) stock topped gainers with 4.6%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, decreased 10 points, or 0.4%, to 2,507.01 points.

Raydan Co’s stock shed 0.4%, while the stock of Al Kathiri Holding Company led risers with 0.1%.
