Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange's (Tadawul) benchmark index closed Tuesday in the green.
The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) levelled up 36.82 points, or 0.46%, to 7,999.59 points, nearing the level of 8,000 points.
TASI’s trading volume rose slightly to 138.99 million shares on Tuesday from 138.07 million on Monday, while traded value rose to SAR 3.27 billion from SAR 2.93 billion, registering the highest liquidity in nine sessions.
The pharmaceuticals, materials, and banks sectors increased 0.99%, 0.96%, and 0.7%, respectively.
On the flipside, the diversified financials sector fell 1.3%, followed by telecommunication services with 0.95%, and consumer services with 0.8%.
Savola Group’s stock led gainers with 3.4%, whereas Al Andalus Property Company’s stock was the worst performer, sliding 6.7%.
Dar Al-Arkan Real-Estate Development Company topped TASI in terms of trading volume with 32.07 million shares exchanged, whereas the Saudi Basic Industries Corp (SABIC) was the most active in terms of liquidity after generating SAR 734.27 million.
In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, slid 57.88 points, or 1.9%, to close Tuesday at 3,065.58 points.
The secondary market's traded volume hit 74,720 shares, up from 44,480 shares on Monday, while trading value jumped to SAR 4.01 million from SAR 788,090.
Baazeem Trading's and Thob Al-Aseel's stocks went up 4.8% and 4%, respectively, whereas Raydan Co’s stock tumbled 6.9%.
Thob Al-Aseel Company dominated Nomu’s activities after 58,490 shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 3.71 million.
