Saudi indices start Thursday in red

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Thursday’s trading session with a negative performance, as most of the sectors fell, while the parallel market kept unchanged.

By 10:45 am KSA time, the main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) plunged 19.96 points, or 0.25%, to 7,863.67 points.

TASI’s traded volume reached 23.53 million shares exchanged at a turnover of SAR 570.83 million through 22,010 transactions.

The commercial services sector topped TASI’s losers falling 1%, followed by the food and beverages and banking sectors, which decreased 0.98% and 0.4%, respectively.

The basic material sector went down 0.3%, followed by the telecommunication sector with 0.16%.

Meanwhile, the insurance sector headed the bourse’s gainers adding 0.85%, followed by the utilities sector which gained 0.6%.

On the other hand, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, stood unchanged at 2,415.94 points.
