Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's inflation rose 0.1% month-on-month and 2.3% year-on-year in December, according to data released by the Central Department of Statistics & Information (CDSI).
The inflation rise was attributable to increase in five main categories, topped by telecom which rose by 0.6%, followed by apparel and footwear (0.4%). Healthcare also rose 0.3%.
Meanwhile, hotels and restaurants fell 0.55%, followed by transportation (0.4%).
Tobacco and education were steady.
