Saudi investments in Egypt hike 44% in Q2-18/19 - CAPMAS

Cairo – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s investments in Egypt increased by 44.1% during the second quarter of the fiscal year 2018-2019.

Total investments reached $125.5 million in Q2-18/19, compared to $87.1 million in the same period a year earlier, according to a recent data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

Egypt’s total exports to the kingdom levelled up 14.4% to $276.7 million during the first two months of 2019, compared to $241.9 million during the same period in 2018.

Meanwhile, Egypt’s imports from Saudi Arabia plunged 9.5% year-on-year to $933.4 million in January and February 2019.
