Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs currently examines how working hours-cutting, a two-day weekend and the 9pm store closure will influence the market as whole, according to the labor minister Mufrej Al-Haqbani.
"The ministry is still studying these proposed thoughts and will do what is best for the public good", the minister said on the launch of the National Labor Gateway “Taqat”.
Regarding the Saudization, national calibers proved a high degree of professionalism and excellence in the telecommunication sector, the minister pointed out.
Further, the ministry is working on uncovering the "community inspection program" that will allow all members of the society to report on any violations. In return, the government will financially reward the reporter for soundly resisting such irregularities and for trying to apply positive and constructive practices, the minister added.
At last, the minister shed light on the role of women in the Saudi society and how the Kingdom will lose if they get marginalized.
"The Saudi woman will partake in all fields as long as the working environment is safe and appropriate. Only when these conditions are met, her presence is a must", the minister concluded.
