Saudi market inches down at Thursday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Thursday’s trading session in red territory, dragged by the fall of materials and telecommunication sectors.

The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) inched down by 0.05 %, or 3.64 points, ending the session at 8,054.75 points.

TASI’s traded volume reached 146.052 million shares exchanged at a turnover of SAR 3.595 billion through 126,804 transactions.

The retailing sector topped the decliners falling 1.56%, followed by the materials sector with 0.68%.

Meanwhile, the software and services sector headed the risers adding 0.99%, while the banking sector increased by 0.4%.

On the other hand, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, jumped by 2.6%, or 101.48 points, finishing the session at 3,977.71 points.
