Saudi non-oil exports to the Gulf rise 2.4% in September, imports down 8.6%

Riyadh- Mubasher: The Saudi non-oil merchandise exports to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries increased 2.4%, or SAR61 million, to SAR2.54 billion in September 2017 from SAR2.48 billion in the same period last year, the General Authority for Statistics report showed on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Saudi imports from the GCC nations declined by 8.6%, or SAR270 million, to SAR2.87 billion in September 2017, compared to SAR3.14 billion in the same period the prior year, the report said.

In September 2017, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) topped Gulf peers in terms of trade exchange with Saudi Arabia, as Saudi exports recorded SAR2.31 billion, while its imports from UAE amounted to SAR2.13 billion.

Saudi Arabia's trade surplus with the UAE registered SAR182 million in the third quarter of the year.
