Saudi non-oil revenues rise 29%; public debt hits SAR142bn

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s non-oil revenues rose by 29% to SAR 163.5 billion in 2015, from SAR 126.79 billion a year earlier, according to the state budget announced Monday.

Non-oil revenues represented 27% of the kingdom’s SAR 608 billion total revenues, while oil revenues account for the remaining 73%.

Meanwhile, public debt rose to SAR 142 billion after the government issued SAR 98 billion bonds. Public debt represents 5.8% of gross domestic product for 2015. It stood at SAR 44 billion in 2014.
