Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia exported 6.1 million barrels per day (b/d) of crude oil in September, slightly up from August levels, Reuters reported on Monday citing a source familiar with the matter as saying.
Production remained unchanged at 8.974 million b/d last month.
In August, the world’s top oil exporter pumped 8.988 million b/d of oil and exported 6 million b/d.
Usually, the kingdom’s oil exports rise after the hot summer months as crude consumption rises for power generation, hence, oil shipments fall.
The kingdom’s production is in line with market expectations and its OPEC output quota. According to a Reuters survey, the Gulf nation’s September production from oil stabilised at 9 million b/d.
