Saudi’s ANB posts 5.5% fall in fourth-quarter earnings

Riyadh-Mubasher: Arab National Bank (ANB), Saudi Arabia's seventh-largest lender by assets, made net earnings of SAR 597.4 million in Q4-15, down 5.5% year-on-year from SAR 628.8 million.

The profit decline was mainly attributable to a 4.2% fall in total operating income, the bank said.

ANB posted a 3.11% rise in FY15 net income to SAR 2.96 billion, compared with SAR 2.87 billion in the same period last year.

The lender ascribed the profit growth partly to a 6.4% rise in total operating income.
